When Does the Walking Dead the Walking Dead Start Again
This article contains spoilers for The Walking Expressionless.
It'south possible fans thought this day would never arrive for AMC's long-running zombie drama, merely as the series has shown plenty of times throughout its 12-year run of gruesome deaths, all things come to an stop. With sixteen of the 24 episodes of The Walking Dead Flavour 11 now out, but eight episodes remain to wrap up this postal service-apocalyptic ballsy.
The Walking Dead certainly saved its biggest arc for last. The starting time two parts of Flavour xi have seen Daryl, Maggie, Carol, and the balance of our beloved heroes take on the Commonwealth, a massive, technologically advanced and well-armed settlement that seeks to preserve civilization every bit it was before the outbreak. But the survivors who've experienced endless horrors over the last 11 seasons know that at that place's actually no going back to the old fashion doing things and that the form-based prosperity the Commonwealth offers its largely sheltered citizens is only a facade.
The first 16 episodes of the season slowly lifted the veil on what's really going on at the new settlement, where inequality is embraced equally a necessary evil needed to bring back the old world. Fifty-fifty after the Commonwealth sends aid to a dilapidated Alexandria and its starving settlers, Daryl, Maggie, and the residuum take a hard time accepting their benefactors' bureaucratic mode of doing things (although Daryl does inexplicably go a Democracy cop who holds doors for rich people in one of the season'southward more questionable character arcs).
Only by the end of Part ii, the Democracy has taken Alexandria, the Hilltop, and Oceanside past strength, with signs of much more problem ahead for our heroes in the terminal eight episodes of the serial. Here's what nosotros know about The Walking Dead Season eleven Office three:
The Walking Dead Flavour 11 Function iii Release Date
AMC has yet to set up a date for The Walking Dead Flavor 11 Role 3. Fortunately, nosotros can make some educated guesses as to when we'll get the terminal episodes of the series.
Episodes of The Walking Dead unremarkably air at the tail finish of winter (Feb/March) and fall (Sept/Oct) of each year, with a hiatus in the summer months to break up the end of one season and the premiere of another. While Part 3 isn't technically the start of a new season, it could still finish up premiering in the show'south usual Oct slot.
That said, AMC released Season xi Part 1 in Baronial last year, and then it'southward possible Part three could follow suit and run from August to mid-Oct. We'll of class update this article when the official appointment is appear.
The Walking Expressionless Season 11 Part 3 Plot
Without delving as well securely into individual character arcs, nosotros know that the final 8 episodes of The Walking Dead will need to achieve two large things: 1) conclude the Commonwealth arc that began in Season 10 equally well as wrap up the series as whole, and two) ready the future of the TWD universe, which will continue well beyond the end of the flagship series (we'll become into that in a second).
Equally far equally number one goes, showrunner Angela Kang and her writers room accept a detailed road map for how to handle the last role of the bear witness's Commonwealth storyline, thank you to the source material. The comic book series written past Robert Kirkman and drawn by Charlie Adlard also ends at the Republic, with a terminal run of issues that offer both closure too as a big helping of tragedy (if yous've read the comics, you know what we mean). Of form, in that location'south no way the show can fully recreate the comic'south ending due to the absence of one of the arc's key characters: Rick Grimes. Without Sheriff Rick, you tin't really deliver the comic'south heartbreaking ending onscreen. And then wait some more detours from the source material when information technology comes to the series finale. We took a more spoiler-y deep dive into the Commonwealth arc and how the show could (and should) end here.
But what about what comes after the Republic? While The Walking Dead comic was able to offering up a definitive ending for the adventures of Rick Grimes and his band of survivors, the Television series will practise no such affair. Flavour 11 will have to plant the seeds for what the TWD universe will look similar for the next few years. AMC already has several spinoff series that volition go along the stories of several of the flagship'due south chief characters afterwards The Walking Dead finale (coil down)…
The Walking Expressionless Shows to Picket Side by side
AMC volition not but release two spinoffs and a movie tie-in that will expand The Walking Dead beyond the Season 11 finale but also an anthology series that brings back other characters from throughout the show's history.
